1. Credentials, Mindset, Responsibilities & Values

Please ensure that you meet our Publisher Credentials, and are willing to fulfill the Publisher role responsibilities detailed below.

2. Complete your Proposal Application

Kindly complete our Acorns.Community Publisher Application with your proposal to begin the process. We'll reach out to you if a Publisher position becomes available within the home patch you wish to cover, and if your skills, mindset, values and credentials align.

3. Commercial Consultation

Arrange a 15 - 20 minute commercial consultation about the business opportunity and patch availability with a member of our Acorns.Community Team.

4. Agreement & Fees

Please provide your Acorns.Community License Agreement and make the payment for your first three months' licensing fees.

5. Training

Participate in our New Publisher Training Webinar and fulfill the New Publisher training course within the initial three months of assuming the Publisher role. This training is crafted to work alongside putting it into action for best results.

Publisher Responsibilities & Values

  • Allocate a minimum of 15-20 hours per week to cultivate and oversee your Acorns.Community Local Media Home Education Hub venture. The more time invested, the swifter your enterprise will flourish, leading to greater earnings.

  • Curate a hyper-local e-newsletter and events calendar weekly, showcasing family-oriented happenings, activities, and programs within your locality.

  • Craft monthly articles spotlighting family-friendly themes and enjoyable outings for kids in your area.

  • Engage consistently on social media platforms to foster connections with your audience and funnel them to the your 'education other than at school' helpful hub to promote the finest family-friendly attractions and activities within your community.

  • Promote your Acorns.Community endeavor to local businesses and organizations, inviting them to collaborate on advertising initiatives. Publishers retain 100% of the revenue generated from advertising partnerships.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to celebrating the rich diversity within both the Acorns.Community Home Ed Marketplace, Publisher network and your own local hub community by curating and sharing diverse and inclusive content and imagery across your Acorns.Community website and social media channels.

  • Substantiate your dedication by remitting a £57 monthly (Initial launch price, RRP £77 monthly) licensing fee to Acorns.Community. The initial three months' fee is payable upfront to defray the administrative expenses associated with onboarding a new Publisher and is non-refundable, even in the rare instance of leaving Acorns.Community before the conclusion of this three-month period.

It all depends on your willingness to learn and adapt.

Therefore, prior experience is not required. However, having a basic familiarity/open mind with technology and social media is advisable.
